Office Pro 2007 Wiped Out

Something happened when I was updating drivers that apparently wiped out
Office Pro 2007. The underlying files are there but the programs won't run. I
need to reinstall but do not have the CD's. About 6 months ago my hard drive
crashed while on business in Guatemala & I had to buy Office Pro 2007 and the
tech installed it. All I have is a a valid product key card.

I had another crash with the new hard drive. This time Microsoft was able to
give me a website to go to and download Office Pro 2007 after inputting my
valid product key. Now, I can't find the website as I can not open Outlook to
find the email with the wedsite.

Can anyone help me locate this site?

Thank you very much,
Richard Rodriguez

Have you tried a system restore to a date before the drivers were updated?
(I have NEVER heard of a driver update doing this.......)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I even created a new restore point prior to doing
the driver update. When the problem occurred I tried to restore from that
point but "it was gone." After a couple of restarts I then got the Blue
Screen which seemed to point to a driver problem in the error message. I've
undone as much as I could and had to reinstall Windows XP and all of the
other programs I had. My files from the office programs are all OK and I can
open them using OpenOffice.org but Office Pro 2007 is toast. I am using Panda
2008 and I've never - knock on wood - had a virus issue using it. I've also
tried importing my Outlook .pst file to try and find the email from Microsoft
Support containing the link to down load Office but I can't get Office
Express to import it and Yahoo doesn't support this function. Very weird
indeed. Thanks.

Like the song says, "If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all."
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I'll give it a try!

DL, You are awesome! That was the site. But as my bad luck would have it.
after about 35 minutes of downloading and running the file, it falis on
installation. I've tried several times and no go. I'm researching that
problem which the support bulletin says is related to not having enough space
on my hard disk but I have plenty so that's not the problem. I'll keep
chasing this down until solved but in the meantime, thanks a million for your
help with the link. Now at least I know where I can get the Office software.

Kind regards,
Rick
