We have a laptop that was traded around recently in our
company. The original laptop user wanted to keep Office
2000 Pro, while the new laptop user had Office 2000
Standard. For some reason, Office Pro never completely
uninstalled and still shows up in add/remove programs. You
can click on it, and say 'remove" (and I've tried repair
too) and it seems like it is uninstalling, but it is still
there! It also keeps asking for the "Pro" disk like it
needs something installed. I have tried reinstalling it
over top of itself as well with no luck. Right now I just
want to get rid of both Pro and Standard and start fresh.
Is my only choice reformatting or is there some way to
remove all of Office other than the remove utility?
