Jump through hoops? How difficult is it to print an email, or to
write down a product key from an email? There is this thing
called personal responsibility for your actions, or lack thereof.
Bought over the internet... downloaded from a pirate website over
the internet... semantics or revisionist history? If you ever
had a product key, and if you ever you used it to activate some
version of Office, then you would know that you were NOT asked to
enter your name or address when you entered the product key, so
how do you expect Microsoft to know that a particular product key
belongs to you? These are the facts: you don't have a disc, you
don't have a product key, you don't have a receipt, you don't
have any proof of purchase or ownership.
Keyfinder programs only work on programs that are currently
installed. If you had used a keyfinder program BEFORE you
restored Windows, then the program probably could have given you
the product key if you had Office XP, Office 2003, or Office 2007
installed. Again, personal responsibility for your actions...
If you had a free trial version of Office 2003 or Office 2007,
and if you paid to convert the free trial to a perpetual license
through Microsoft's website, then you might (no guarantees) be
able to get a replacement download and product key from
