office reinstall

I am trying to reinstall Office 2003 from CD on my desktop. Shortly after
starting, the following error message comes up: "a required installation file
CM561401.CAB could not be found." I am prompted to pick an "original
installation source", which would be the CD. But this does not work. I am not
be able to get past this point in the installation. (I have already
uninstalled Office 2003 from this computer.) what is going on?
