I am running Outlook and XP Home SP2.
Years ago, I downloaded and imported "Office Sounds" which was intended to give audible notifications. Well, it has never worked properly for me. I wanted something that would announce that new mail arrived. Something better than the little tinkle that comes with Outlook. What has happened is that unless my browser is already open, clicking on a link within an email, causes a pop-up indicating: Command line option syntax error. Type Command/? for Help. I don't know what to do with that.
I visited the Microsoft site and followed the instructions to download. I was prevented with a note that I needed to register something. What that could be I don't know. I have always purchased and registered all programs.
I would like to have the program working properly.
If anyone is able to provide some suggestions, I would be very thankful.
