Office Student and Teacher Ed, 2003 Trial

H

Harry Avant

I just purchased a laptop and it came with MS Office S&T preinstalled.
When I tried to run it an installation window opened up and asked for
the KEY. I have this on the label but before I install I would like to
find out:
(1) What is the trial period duration?

(2) What is the cost after that?

Thanks,
Harry

Correction - the trial period is 30 days for standard and 60 days for the
professional version. You have a misleading typo.

After furious head scratching, JoAnn Paules [MSFT MVP] asked:

| Probably about $30. The cost is usually around $149 US.

Wow - I sure do! $30 isn't 30 days.

(Good reason to turn the TV off in the office. Brain can't focus)

I'm in the process of purchasing Office 2003 and see there is a price
difference in Office Standard (or basic) 2003, and Office Student & Teacher
2003. Is there an advantage to one over the other for just home use?

You must either *be* a student or teacher or have a student living in your
home to purchase the S&T edition. Also, those editions do NOT have the same
software included. Read the box and decide which one suits your needs.
