Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003

I currently have Office 2000 on my computer and only want to upgrade certain
programs, for example, Outlook and Word. If I install Office Student and
Teacher 2003 (this is not an upgrade program) will that effectively "upgrade"
the Outlook and Word portions without losing information? (I don't want to
lose documents in Word, or emails in Outlook!) I was told that when
installing the new program I would be given the option to "upgrade" but I
want to be absolutely sure. Thx!

You wont lose any data, but as allways a backup is reccommended.
After starting the new OL2003, you would be advised to create a new pst in
the OL2003 format, and within OL copy your OL2k pst data to this new pst. Do
NOT use import/export as this can give probs.
Set the new pst as the default (Mail Applet in Control Panel) then close the
old pst
