Office upgrade with Vista

I just purchased a HP Pavilion notebook with Vista Ultimate. I want to
upgrade to Office 2007 Professional. I currently have Office 2000
Professional. Should I install 2000 on the new notebook, deal with the
updates, and then install the upgrade? Or should I run the upgrade install
and insert the 2000 disc when it tries to verify? Not in a hurry, just
looking for the best method with this new operating system. Thanks.

Just do the upgrade, there's no need to spend time doing updates on
Office 2000.
