Office upgrade

R

Rick

I currently have an OEM version of Office 2000. I have
purchased Office 2003 Professional to install in near
future. Is it possible (is there any benefit to) to doing
a "clean" install (such as you can do with operating
system) of the Office 2003 upgrade? Thanks.

Hi Rick,

When you install Office 2003, you get the option to remove the previous
versions during the installation. This should be a clean installation of
Office 2003 for you.

Hope this helps.

Cool! Thank you. Quick question though, why would anyone
NOT want to uninstall old version(s)? What benefit is
there in having multiple versions of MS Office on the same
system?

Thanks again.

Hi Rick,

Some folks may purchase a new version but in a different edition,
for example, the old one may include the Office Shortcut Bar, or
Frontpage and the new one may not.

Others may be concerned with compatability or support of customers,
friends, relatives, etc who have an older version.
