Office XP and Adobe Acrobat

Can anyone tell me what version of Adobe Acrobat & Distiller work best with Office XP?

On my Win2K computer, I create my invoices using Excel 2002, and my work documents using
Word 2002. I've got Acrobat & Distiller 5 installed. Since I updates Office XP last
month I'm unable to create PDFs from inside any Office XP application.

I've read about compatibility problems between Office XP and Acrobat 5.

Does anyone know of any Office XP compatibility issues with later versions of Acrobat?
Is there a recommended Acrobat version for Office XP?

Thanks!

I have used Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0.9 and now I am using version
8.1.0 and both are working fine as far as I am concerned. Version 8 is
a bit slow in opening but all new programs are like that these days. I
guess they all want us to buy new machines every time a new version
comes out!! The benefit of faster newer machines is completely lost!
Bring back DOS!

Yeah, I hear ya... hey, so are you saying that Acrobat 7 is faster than Acrobat 8?

Any difference in the file sizes of the PDFs they create?

Okay, then pretend we cannot see your screen from here and
describe for us what happens when you try to "create PDFs
from inside any Office XP application". Hint: "Unable" is
not a description. Are you missing the Adobe Create PDF
toolbar? Can you print to the Acrobat PDFWriter printer?
If you get an error message, then quote it exactly and
completely.

Okay, let's all pretend that I never asked for any help in creating PDFs with Acrobat 5
from Office XP. Let's also pretend that the only thing I asked about was about
compatibility between later versions of Acrobat later than v5, and Office XP.

Let's pretend I asked something like, "Does anyone know of any Office XP compatibility
issues with later versions of Acrobat? Is there a recommended Acrobat version for Office
XP?"

My original issue was because all the problems I see people having online between Office
XP and Acrobat 5, I wanted to know if anyone knew of later versions of Acrobat were
plagued by the same problems. It doesn't appear so from what I've read, but I just
wanted to ask.
