Office XP for Students and Teachers Activation

I know that "jake" asked this question before, but how
many computers can Microsoft Office XP Standard for
Students and Teachers be placed on? "Sherrie" posted that
there are several different versions available, could
someone clarify which version allows for three
activations? Further, if I have the wrong product may I
contact Microsoft and request to be granted another
activation code?

I called Microsoft last night and tried to ask for another activation code for a second computer. The agent I talked to wouldn't budge. I may try one more call and then throw in the towel and go back to my Office 2000 for both my computers. Microsoft managed to piss me off is all that happened here.

I'm not really sure how many versions of Office XP for Students and
Teachers there are but obviously there are at least two. Either that
or the 'three computer activation' thing just went into effect with
the new 2003 version. I'm a little confused about that. I thought
there was only one Student and Teacher version. I know mine
advertised that you could activate it on three computers and that's
what I did, legally. I registered for college this semester and it
was required for one of my classes. Here is a link to the one I got.

http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/prodinfo/students/default.mspx

Click on the link that says "Use Office at School and Home" and it
will tell you about the three computer activation. I've had it for a
month or two and really like it.

I'm really not getting through to you am I?! Sorry people, I'm now going to
yell because I've explained this to her three times now and she's STILL
posting that link...

Are you listening? Probably not, but I'll repeat it once more, in the vain
hope I might hammer it home (some hope!)

THAT IS THE END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT FOR OFFICE STUDENT AND TEACHERS 2003.

OFFICE XP STUDENT AND TEACHERS EDITION IS A ONE SYSTEM LICENCE!!!

Now will you cease and desist - and totally refrain from - posting anything
whatsoever unless you are 110% sure of your facts?!

Now, write 1000 times "I will not post to Usenet until I have checked my
facts at least three times."

Maybe *THAT* might hammer it home...
