Office xp installer

P

Peter

A friend gave me a computer with Office xp already
installed. I was looking around the Office update site
and decided to download some available updates and chose
the ones I wanted. I didn't realise that I was going to
need the Office disk to complete the installlation and
since I didn't have it I simply cancelled the downloads
and went about my business.
Since then the Office Installer pops up and trys to
complete the updates every time I click on a program! I
have looked in vain all through my com to find and delete
whatever is causing this but no luck. Any hints? Thanks
