Office XP Pro Custom Installation Wizard

We have used the Custom Installation Wizard from the Office XP Resource Kit
to create a transforms file which is applied to an admin installation of
Office XP Pro which is then distributed via Group Policy.

My problem is this - we use the transforms file to exclude all of MS Access
except for Snapshot Viewer, however when we do this MSACCESS.EXE is also
installed which means MS Access is installed on the computer.

Any idea what is going on?

I just checked with doing a manual, custom install. I unchecked the
Microsoft Access box then chose to "Choose detailed installation options for
each application". I then expanded the Microsoft Access for Windows
component tree, clicked on Snapshot Viewer and selected Run from My
Computer. Immediately many of the other Access components switched to Run
from My Computer too. So I would deduce from this that the Office Custom
Installation Wizard is not entirely accurate when selecting components.

1. Unless you choose 'Not Available' the user can later on choose it
2. If there has been a previous uninstalled office installation on the
computer it will (in my experience) override your MST

MS Access (other than Snapshot Viewer) was set to Not Available.
Freshly built PC on each occasion with no Office installation whatsoever.
