Office XP Pro "Installation Failed"

I have tried to install SP-1 for Office XP Pro. Am able to download from MS
Update site, but when I click to install, I get error msg that simply says
"INstallation Failed."

This gives me no reason...I have rebooted, retried, shut down all Office
programs during the update...same result.

Am running Win XP Home on a Dell Inspirion 1100 w/384 MB RAM.

One more thing: When I go to "About XXX" in each of the Office XP programs,
it shows that I have alreayd installed SP-1...but I cannot then go to Office
Update and download/install SP-2...
