First try the Office XP code, then if that fails, contact your system
builder.

As Brian said, your system builder is responsible for this as the product is
licensed through them.
There is nothing Microsoft can do about this.

To be fair to MSFT, they give system integrators an incredible discount on
some of the office software in order to allow for the auto load on new
machines. Usually these machines come with a boot disc that restores the
whole mess (OS) and then a utilities disc or discs that has the other
things. Sometimes the codes for these are in the manual that came with the
machine or taped onto the machine (on a sticker) or even sometimes on the
disc jacket itself. If you can't find the code from one of these places
there isn't much anyone can do since the codes are different for different
manufacturing lots of discs.

As Ed says here there may not be a good answer. Perhaps the OEM can sell
you another copy or upgrade at their price if you ask???
