Office XP Pro

Hello...

I purchased Office XP Pro from school (Student Select
Licence Agreement) and I was wondering if I could install
the program on both my laptop and my desktop computer,
without purchasing two programs? And if I can - what
happens when I go to register the Product Key number and
it states that it has already been register?

Thanks in advance...

What you would need to do is have a look through your End
User License Agreement (EULA), which is the terms and
conditions that you agreed to abide by in order the use
the software. Check the EULA of the Student Select
License Agreement for a 'Secondary Rights' clause, in
some versions of Office Xp (retail in particular) you are
able to within the framework of the Microsoft EULA
install your copy of Office Xp on both a laptop and a
desktop, provided you are the owner of both devices.
Provided that the EULA allows you to legally do this you
should not experience any problems with product
activation. When activating the product on the second
computer you will need to use the telephone option for
activating and call the number given once you have filled
in your details. You may need to listen to the phone
menu carefully for options to go through and speak with a
Customer Service Representative who would then be able to
assist you with activating the product. They may require
certain non-identifyable information from you to verify
that the product is genuine.
