office xp standard for students and teachers version 2002

I purchased this product and had successfully installed
it. I started having trouble with it the computer and
tried to uninstall/ reinstall it. Now disk one with
won't install. Seems like the drive doesn't recognize
the disk at all.

Can you expand on what's happening? Do you get an error? What operating
system are you using?
