Office XP switches

Is there a switch that I can append to the setup.exe for
the Product Key. I found a URL that provides many switches
for Office XP but none for the Product Key. The OSK kit
doesn't provide a place to enter the Key like the ORK for
2003 does or maybe I have overlooked it. I've tried
configuring a custom setup.ini but can't find where to put
the Key there ether. I assume under [Product] but what is
the format. Thanks!!

Have you tried running the setup.exe from command line using /?

For example Start/Run:

D:\SETUP.exe /? {D: is/should be your CD-Drive}

This should give you all the switches supported by setup.exe.

Hope this works and let us know if you find anything new which should be of interest to us all!. You might also search on google for "unattended setup of office".

Using VLK version it is possible to automate installation but I have not tried anything on the retail or OEM versions as I only use it on my laptop and so I can afford to spend 3 days fine tuning Uncle Bill's application package (instead of bashing all MVPs on this newsgroup)!.

Hope this helps.

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.
