Office XP upgrade worked on one computer, won't work on another.

I successfully installed Office XP Pro SE (upgrade) on a computer I'm about to retire. My new computer comes with Word XP only; no other Office components. Office XP Pro cannot find a qualifying product when I try to install on my new machine. I understand that. But I paid for the Office XP upgrade and installed it on my previous machine, which had a qualifying upgrade product installed. If I'm retiring that machine and will uninstall Office XP on it, is there any way I can transfer the "right" to upgrade to my new machine? Any thoughts?

Hi, Sherman,

You'll need to provide proof of a qualifying product during installation.
You don't have to have it installed; you can also point the installation to
a CD of the qualifying product that you insert in the CD drive when
prompted.
