Problem: I need to uninstall Office2k and move it to a
different hard drive. I uninstalled it and and ran the
Windows installation cleanup program (msicuu2.exe) to get
rid of any unseen issues. When I tried to install Office
again I used the customize option, but the installation
location box was dimmed/grayed out with "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office" visible. The dialog box displayed
BOTH hard disks but only one option for install location
was available.
Next step I took was to get rid of EVERY reference to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office that could be found in
the registry. Didn't work.
I have not found any references to this issue anywhere -
HELP! This is Office2k Small Business Edition SP-1 on a
networked XP-Pro machine in a domain.
I have thought perhaps it has to do with the All Users
settings, but I removed every reference from the
registry....very strange! HELP!
