Can anyone please help re. this problem I am having:
--Installed Office 2003 from a network souce, but did not
save files to the local HD. On opening Word, it asks for
the network source, but when I point to that souce, it
complains of SKU011.CAB that it cannot see. The CAB file
is there, but somehow is not 'seen' by the install
process.
--It seems this is a common problem, and as noted by
others, I tried using LISTool.exe, but this also cannot
find some other file in the network source.
--So, I un-installed Office and tried to re-install..Then
it tells me that the source is corrupted. According to
MS KnowledgeBase article 820930, this problem is caused
by an incorect XML parser, and as diretd in the article,
I undated the XML parser. But I keep getting corrputed
source message now on trying to install -- this messgae
comes up after entering the product key.
In future, I promise to follow Microsoft's recommended
setting (keep the install files in local HD) -- though a
horrid way to do things.
Thanks much in advance.
