Having difficulty in getting spell check to work. I have made mistakes but it
reads "The spelling check is complete" and I know there are mistakes. I have
under tools, spelling, show spelling errors. I purposely made an error on an
old publication, however on a new one it works O.K. Confused!

The below is a from a Publisher 2002 Knowledge Base article addressing your issue, It
could be valid for 2003.

This issue may occur if one of the following conditions is true:
A portion of the text or the whole text in your publication is marked as "no
proofing".
In the same session, you previously clicked Ignore or Ignore All when the spelling
checker reported a certain word as misspelled.

Start Microsoft Publisher, and then open your publication.
Use your mouse to select the portion of the text where you want to check spelling. To
select all of the text in the whole publication, press CTRL+A.
On the Tools menu, point to Language, and then click Set Language.
In the Language dialog box, click the language that your text is written in, and then
click OK.
Press F7 to check spelling in your publication.

The problem should be resolved now. If the problem persists, continue with these
steps.

Save any changes that you made to your publication, and then close it.
Open the publication, and then press F7 to check spelling again.

I'm sorry but the answer I received didn't work. I followed all
instructions. I find it strange that when I typr a new publication withour
graphics spell check comes up, but on an old one with a mistake "No spelling
errors"
