OL 2000 Inbox: Strange Occurence

After upgrading from OL98, not all of my messages show up in the inbox. All
messages are shown to be received/downloading on the status bar, but some
just disappear. Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, what is/was
the solution for this disappearing act???
