OL2003 closing immediately

I have a strange issue with OL2003 closing almost
immediately upon opening. It's happening on a WinXP box
with or without other apps open. The strange thing is, if
I very quickly click on some different emails prior to it
closing, it will remain open, however if I just launch the
application, 9 our of 10 times it seems to want to just
close again. Any ideas why, I have yet to do a repair or
reinstall...
