OLAP Cube Build

John Webster

I am having an issue actual hours from the project plan to appear in OLAP.
I have confirmed that the actual hours in Project Pro are what are shown
over in PWA views and that the project managers are correctly republishing
after they save updates; however, when we look at the Analyzer Views based
off the OLAP cube the values are different, they show less actual hours for
the project in question. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this one?

We had this problem as well and found it to be a variation of the 8hour problem as confirmed as a
problem in the knowledge base. The workaround decribed there worked for us, it was a problem
created when we using different calendars in the saved projects and the enterprise calendar
(as said above it is a bug and should not occur) After we made the same changes to the local
calendars as we did to the enterprise one, hours were the same. I hope this helps

Hi John,

For the data to be consistent you need to be using Enterprise Calendars in
your projects. This will avoid the issues you are experiencing. If you
worked with a Microsoft Partner when your system was set up this should have
been made clear to you during the system design stage of your implementation
and configured accordingly in the database.

You also need to make sure that the date ranges you are using for your OLAL
cube is adequately specified.

Hope that helps...
