OLE Automation Speed

I am using PB9 to create a document in MS Word 2000 using an OLE
object. I have noticed that the speed is increased when I open a menu
on the MS Word window (ex. File, Edit..etc). Does anyone know, what is
happening by opening the MS Word Menu.
