OLE Objects

Hi, I amtrying to understand a database that I have just taken over. In
one of the tables, a field is an OLE object, Microsoft Word Document. When
I double click on one of the iytems, it open a word document.

My question is, where is this stored, as to the best of my knowledge they
are not on my comoputer.

Apologies for my ignorance on this matter - would be gratfeul for an
explanation

OLE objects can be stored in an Access database as either a link or an
object. If the actual object is stored, and it sounds like it may be,
the document is stored *in the database*.
