OMPM - Analyzing Access DB Files "ODBC--call failed"

Hi,
I'm trying to check for likely migration issues from Office 2003 to 2007 and
have used OMPM to scan Access files, uploaded the results into an OMPM
database, and tried to analyze them through OMPM. No matter what I've put in
the Report Settings, during "Analyzing Access Database Files", when it
reaches the step "Check for objects named with reserved words.", I get an
error message "ODBC--call failed.".
My PC is running Vista SP1 (not the Japanese version, which apparently has
this as a known issue?), and Office 2007 SP1. The SQL Server 2005 SP2
(Standard) instance used is on a test server (which admittedly is a bit on
the slow side).
I've tried with different sets of data (deleting and recreating the database
in between), i.e. scans that included all Office file types and such with
Access only. The error remains consistent.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Matina

I just entered the servername (it's the default instance on the test server)
and database name as the Access applications requests on its first screen.
The connection gets made, and a range of steps happen after I choose Analyze
(e.g. it marks the "Old" databases, System databases,...). I didn't
specifically create an ODBC connection entry.
Reports e.g. on the Excel files' information are successful, it's just the
Analyzing step for the Access files' information that is failing, which would
be a prerequisite for the Access file reports to work.
Thanks,
Matina

Hi,

did you find a solution for this problem? I'm experiencing the same here,
with german XP SP2 and SQL Express 2005 SP2. I also tried on a Vista SP1
machine with SQL Server 2005 Std. SP2. Same problem everywhere with this
database.

And I really need this analysis :(

Thanks in advance for any hint!
