One button click = image inserted into document.

I've diddled around but can't find a way to make this happen. It must
be simple!

I need a button on the menubar that when clicked inserts a single
predefined image file at the cursor's current location. I am going to
use this to quickly add my scanned signature to Word documents that
exist only digitally. I've explored various methods of doing this, but
none seem to work.

As you can see, I've not done much twiddling with Word. But you gotta
start somewhere, right?

Store the image as a formatted AutoText or AutoCorrect entry, and give it a
unique name.
If you use AutoText
(http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AutoText.htm), you can assign a
toolbar button to insert it. If you use AutoCorrect, just type the name
followed by a space, punctuation, or the Enter key.
