One Time Pop Up

Good Afternoon All - Once a month here at work we have an
application that needs to be updated. The updates are
available from our intranet site for everyone to download
and install. I would like to have a pop-up appear when our
employees visit our intranet site informing them that
there is an update available. The other thing is that I
only want this to appear the first time they visit the
site, not each and every time they visit. I would also
need the ability to reset it when new updates are
available. If anyone can point me in the right direction
it would be greatly appreciated. - Jason.

You'll probably want to use a cookie to check and see if the page has been
viewed. You can do this in FP or there are bunches of tutorials online that
can help.

Hi Jason,

When you speak of Pop-up I assume you mean a new browser window. If so take
a look at J-Bots Pop-up Window / Window Close component. It supports the use
of a cookie not being present to display the Pop-up. The cookie would be set
in the page that is displayed in the Pop-up using our Cookie component Set
Value.

When you wish to display a different message use a different cookie key
name.
