OneNote Automatic Hyperlink Bug

OneNote has a serious bug in it; it will not let you remove a hyperlink.
Although I have been able to get to the proper menu, and even choose the
action “remove hyperlinkâ€, which may in fact disable the hyperlink function,
it will note then let you reformat it to mach normal formatting. This is a
major flaw, because as a student I save many citations, and I often reference
websites. I have tried everything to no avail. Since I may save one citation
in one style, but may have to reuse it several times, in several styles, not
being able to save the web address in non hyperlink format is a real pain.

I can not reproduce this.
On my system the text if a hyperlink automatically changes to the normal
text colour when I used the "remove hyperlink" command.

What am I missing??

Go back to it again. Even after you use the remove hyperlink commmand, onenote automatically changes text to hyperlinks again when you visit or change the focus to that page again.

The annoying disadvantage is the increased difficulty to click or highlight portions of the text that onenote makes a hyperlink without executing the link.
