Only some sections of word doc. will print

Weirdest thing - I've typed a few paragraphs in a word document, actually, in a pre-formated work related template
When I go to print preview, everything I have written shows as though it is all going to print for me nicely. However, when I actually print the document, only some text prints, while the rest has apparently disappeared. I have gone through every menu button within Word to try and figure out if I have selected off something in the area where that text sits but can't seem to find a solution as to why this is happening. I have even gone as far as selecting the text, copying and pasting into a separate word file, but no luck - it seems to be the text itself that doesn't want to print. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks.

While I think it might be resources or something else, I have had success
doing this: CUT the text that's not printing. Hit Edit-Paste
special-Unformatted text, try printing. If it prints, reformat the text as
it was.

It sounds as if this may be a form. On the Print tab of Tools | Options,
make sure that "Print data only for forms" is not checked.
