Open documents in separate windows

Is there any way I can open 2 PowerPoint presentations in different windows?
I want to compare the two side by side, but I can't find a way to open them
in separate PowerPoint instances.

Thanks,

Rob

Open your presentation, file, new, in the task bar open your other presentation.
Right-click the quick launch toolbar and tile.

Open both presentations, then choose Windows/Arrange All, and they'll tile.

Mary,

This will tile the presentations within the same PP instance, but I want to
create 2 separate instances. I have 2 monitors, and I would like one
instance of PP on one monitor, and another instance on the other. I could
mimic this by allowing my windows to open up using the full 2 monitors, and
then tiling within them (which is what I did), but it would be easier if I
didn't have to mess around with my display settings.

It sounds like maybe I can't open 2 instances of PP, and the best I can do
is to tile the presentations within one instance.

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure tiling within one instance across the two monitors is the
best you can do here.

If you have another version of PPT available, you can install it and run two
different versions at the same time.... (I know, I know, it's a wonky
workaround. Don't shoot the messenger. <g>)

Enable (check) "Windows in Taskbar" under Tools (menu) -> Options... -> View (tab)

Timothy,

This option was already enabled, and I do see the different presentations in
the taskbar. However, when I click on them, they both appear in the same
PowerPoint "container."
