What is the command to open a file from a dos prompt in word? I can do it in
Word 2003 (c:\progra~1\micros~2\office11\winword.exe filename), but Word 2000
does not work the same way.

Never mind. It does work. Helps if you type the path correctly.

No need. Just type the data filename. Cmd.exe runs ShellExecute("open") against it,
if it's not a recognized executable. (You're not talking about command.com when you
say "DOS prompt", right?)
