Open office docuemtns more than once

Hi

Is there a way so that users could open Office documents (word,excel) more
than once? So that 2 or more users could be able to read/write the same
documents and that the last changes will be saved.
Is there any kind of software that will allow this? Maybe SharePoint or some
other 3rd party SW?

Excel provides for Shared editing, but cripples a lot of features. The
rest, no. Sharepoint won't as you must "check out" the document for
editing. So no Office doesn't support multiple simultaneous editing. You
would need to find some other document software.
