opening a link on a tab from frontpag 2003

I wish to open a tab on explorer rather than a new window for links, allowing
easier navigation between sites.
I know this is possible but I cannot find out how to do it.
I have a working knowledge of html.
Any Answerts out there.

This is a user setting - you cannot instruct the browser to open a new tab
using HTML or scripting.

For the user:
Open Internet Explorer - 7 or later
Tools->Internet Options
On General tab, in Tabs section click Settings button
Select Always open pop-ups in a new tab
Click OK, click OK

As far as I can see, FireFox will open pop-up windows in a pop-up window,
but can be set to open new windows as new tabs.
