Opening a powerpoint file from the web.

I want to open a powerpoint file that is on the internet, but I don't want
the file to open in my internet explorer browser window. I want to open it
in the powerpoint program. Is there anyway to get internet explorer to open
the file in powerpoint without having to save it to my computer first?

On most downloads, they'll ask whether you want to
OPEN SAVE or CANCEL.
If it's a normal DOWNLOAD, save (to your hard drive)is the safest option.
If you open it online, there maybe an online version of PPT that will do the
opening
which may not be compatible with all the effects in the file, passwords or
other security features, or with the way you are used to working with PPT.
