opening a read only file

how can i open a read only file in excel?
i saved the relevant information to floppy disc and now i
cannot open the file i require, please help

Hi
NEVER try saving/opening an Excel file directly on/from a floppy disk.
This can cause corrupted files. Try copying the file first to your
harddisk.
