Opening files from other versions

Is there any way that Pub2000 can open a .pub file from another version?
I am editor of our local Neighbourhood Watch newsletter and a
contributor has sent me an article that refuses to open because it is
from a different version.

What version was the original saved in and for that matter wht other
information can you give us before this gets to be a guessing game?

I don't know which version it was originally saved in, must be 2002 or
2003 though. What other info would be useful?

Your contributor should be shot for not asking which version you have before
sending the file. Ask him to do a Save As and change it to Pub 2000.
