Opening multiple files from Windows Explorer

I'm experiencing an issue when trying to open several files (excel or word)
at the same time, I mean selecting the files in explorer, right-click-open.
Nothing happens !!
If one file is selected, right-click-open, the file opens, if there are 2 or
more selected nothing happens but if I hit "Enter" all the files are opened.
The OS is WinXP sp2 with the last updates and Office is 2003 also with the
last updates.
I'm new on groups, and my english is not so good! but if someone has an idea
about that, it will bee helpfull !
Thanks

Norton anti-virus installed by any chance?

Well, actually I had unisntall NAV corporate edition and the result is the
same !
I have also uninstall office and re-install it. No changes !
The stranger is that when logged with another user account, multiple files
can be opened with right-click-open.
So it makes me thinking it's related to WinXP (any registry key corrupeted !)

Norton Corporate doesn't have the Office Plug-in option which could be
the cause of the issue you are encountering. However, Norton AV does
have the option. If Norton AV was installed at one time then the DLL
for the Office Plug-in could still be registered. We've encountered
this scenario numerous times in the newsgroups.

Search for : officeav.dll

If you find it then go to Start/Run and run the following command:

regsvr32 /u "<path>\officeav.dll"

Here is a KB article that provides a few additional details. It does
not include information on Norton CE but it will contain additional
details on the unregister command if you need them:

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
