Opening older version

I have a publisher document that I think was created in
Publisher 97/98. My problem is that the only version I
have is 2000 or XP and I need to open this newsletter.
The message I receive is that you can't open a document
from a different version. Someone please please please
tell me this isn't so!!! I really need this newsletter
and it's contents... Is there some way to open it with
the newer versions of Publisher???

After managing to set up OE-QuoteFix on his new PC, Ed reads a message

It isn't so ;-)
Publisher 2002 can open files from all versions of Publisher from 2.0
through 2003.
Publisher 2000 can open files from all versions of Publisher from 2.0
through 2000.
I would suggest disabling Script Blocking and the Microsoft Office PlugIn in
Norton AntiVirus and trying again.

I've had luck with older publications by simply right-clicking the file, properties,
opens with... change and pointing to the newer version of Publisher.
