opening opwerpoint files from the internet

When opening any powerpoint files from the internet i receive a warning
message, saying " The outline cannot be opened in its entirety". I can click
Ok on the dialog box and there is a lot of number and odd symbols in
different formats all over the place and i cannot see the presentation. Even
if i save the file to my hard drvie it comes up the same message.

This has only happened since upgrading to office 2003
Any ideas whats going wrong and how it can be fixed
