Opening outlook embedded items with express?

I was wondering if anyone knew whether you can open an
embedded MS Outlook item (within say, Excel) with
MSOExpress.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

you'd need Outlook but, depending on the type of item, yo might get some
info out of it as plain text with Notepad
