opening PPT in Presentation mode...

Is there a way to save and configure a powerpoint
presentation so, when double clicked, the file will open
in "presentation" mode. We're trying to use PPT to teach
folks some things and some haven't used PPT before.

Thanks for any assistance!

Change the file extension from PPT to PPS (in Windows Explorer), or open the
PPT click "File", "Save as", click the "Files of type" dropdown, select
either Design Template or PowerPoint Template(depends which version you
have).

Now when they double-click the PPS file it opens in Slide Show Mode.
