Opening word windows

I need some info on opening word windows. It used to be that when I opened a
document it would open in its own window, but for some reason now it opens
in the same window. I could have 20 documents open & they would be in the
same window. This is a pain in the a** because to get to the first document
you have to minimize all the rest.

Hi Bruce,

Tools > Options > View, "Windows in Taskbar" controls that behavior.

But note that you don't have to minimize all the other open docs to get to a
specific one: you should see them listed in Word's Window menu. If you have
Windows XP, I believe they are also all stacked up on the Word Taskbar
button.
