organization charts

Hi there,

Rolled to XP...the Powerpoint org chart function has me a
little confused. After clicking on the org chart to
activate the drawing window, I can make the changes..but
when I deactivate the window, the actual org chart looks
like a micro version or outline of the chart that I
started with..in the past, I used to select an update org
chart option from a pull down menu and then return to the
slide ...am I missing something here...

A frustrating experience!

Thanks for any help,

Dave

Dave,
The general consensus is that the org chart function has not improved much.
In general we advise to create the org chart yourself, use the drawing tools
and connector lines available in the drawing toolbar. It will certainly give
you more flexibility.
That being said, it is strange that once you place the org chart on the
slide it would shrink. Are you saying you are editing a chart made with an
earlier version of Powerpoint or making a fresh one in PPT 2002.
If the former is the case have a look here:

Luc - thanks for this...after checking with my local IT
guru here, I was told that I need to update 'a file' in
ppt in order for it to work as I think it should...I will
let you know what it turns out to be...not sure why they
did not tell me that at the time I received the upgrade
to ppt 2002.

Cheers,

Dave
