I work for a mid-sized organization that is trying to deploy Office 2003
Pro via a batch file and with an .mst file. The installation works fine, but
during the install, a message appears saying that OSE.EXE could not write
to a memory location. It does not stop the install, but the message appears
4 to 5 times from start to finish. We have tried setup.exe and msiexec, but
the message continues to appear.
I have read that the ose.exe file is trying to make a call to the Office
Update Service website. This would be a problem as we are running a firewall
that would not allow this.
My question is:
1. What could be causing this error?
2. Is there a way to suppress the messages?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
