Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer, not Microsoft Office. To get an
expert reply to your question you should post in an OE group like this one:

Oh, a "thing", uh huh. Very descriptive.

How does double-clicking on the Inbox folder do anything (other than
expand/contract that folder in the folder pane)? Could you have really
meant that you are [double-]clicking on a URL link inside an e-mail
message?

Not an Outlook issue, the topic of this newsgroup. Outlook Express is
