Out of memory when trying to attach documents

I have serveral users who when attempting to attach documents to an
e-mail using Outlook 2000 who get "Out of Memory, or System Resources.
Close all programs and try again." Even when no other programs are
open. However, if they are in Word and use the Send--> E-Mail option
they can use that.

They are using Dell Dimensions with 64 MB of RAM. The exchange server
is 5.5.

Thanks
Roger

Have they already tried purging their Office Clipboard (Edit -> Office
Clipboard -> Clear All)?

Have they checked in Task Manager that only one instance of outlook.exe
is running? Maybe a prior instance got hung on exit and is still
sitting in memory and they'll have to kill it.

Nope, even after a full reboot they still get the same error.

They are using .pst files, so all incoming mail should be going
directly into that. I could check to make sure thier Sent Folder is
empty. Would that make a difference?

I don't believe the Office Clipboard doesn't get cleared on a reboot.
You need to Clear All yourself.

Clear All option in any Office product. = /

Went back to your original post. You mention using Outlook 2000. I'm
using Outlook 2002, so maybe the Office Clipboard feature only exists in
Office XP. Sorry for wasting your time.
