Outline Numbering

I have 2 styles

Main Heading - Level 1 heading, outline number 1

Sub Heading - Level 2 heading, outline number #.1 (using
number from main heading)

I have set the tab and hanging indent measurements which
work perfectly.

The problem occurs when I want to change the Start at
number. If I modify the start at number manually through
the modify style box it works perfectly as the
measurements are retained.

I wanted this to be a bit easier for other people to use
so I recorded myself changing the start at number and
will eventually link it to an input box.

As usual Word records far too much information in a
macro, I have removed as many unhelpful commands as I can
but whenever I play the macro it changes my
meausrements. The code relates to a list gallery whcih I
think is the problem. I want it to simply change the
start at number of my main heading style which will then
automatically update the number of my sub heading.

This is driving me potty!! Please does anoyone have any
ideas??
